ABOUT Gajar mater ki sabzi RECIPE

This is an easy and quick curry made with carrots and peas to be served with some roti.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Medium sized carrot -4-5 (chopped)
  2. Green peas - 1 cup
  3. Cumin seed -1 tsp
  4. Chopped green chilly -1-2
  5. Chopped ginger -1 inch
  6. Red chilly powder -1/2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder -1/4 tsp
  8. Turmaric powder -1/4 tsp
  9. Oil -2 tsp
  10. Hing a pinch
  11. Salt as required
  12. Water -1/2 cup
  13. Chopped corriender leaves

Instructions

  1. Peel. Rinse and chopped the carrots
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add hing and cumin seed. Add ginger and green chilly. Saute for a minute. Add carrots and green peas. Add salt. Turmaric powder and garam masala powder. Saute for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add water and stir. Cover and let the veggies cook. Checking and stirring in between. Cook the veggies for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Garnish with corriender leaves and serve hot.
