Aloo Tikki

Ingredients to make Aloo Tikki

  • Boiled potato 3 Medium size
  • Chopped green chillies 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chopped ginger 1/2 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder 1/4 tablespoon
  • salt as per your taste
  • coriander powder 1/4 tablespoon
  • Dry mango powder 1/2 tablespoon
  • cumin powder 1/4 tablespoon
  • Gram masala 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chat masala 1/2 tablespoon
  • Flattered rice or Poha 3 tablespoons
  • rice flour 1 tablespoon
  • oil for frying
  • curd 3 tablespoons
  • tamarind chutney 2 tablespoons
  • Green chutney 1 tablespoon
  • water 2 tablespoons

How to make Aloo Tikki

  1. Soke flattered rice or Poha in 2 tablespoons water for 5 minutes.
  2. Peel and grate bolied potatoes.
  3. Add green chillies, ginger, red chili powder, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, gram masala, chat masala, dry mango powder, soked flattered rice or poha and rice flour. Mix well.
  4. You can apply some oil on your palms and take some portion make medium size tikki.
  5. Heat oil on tava, gently place Aloo tikki and fry them.
  6. When one side of tikki become golden and crisp, turn over and fry the other side of tikki..
  7. Once both side done, drain it on kitchen paper to remove the excess oil.
  8. Served with curd, tamarind chutney and green chutney.
