With just four ingredients, this is a perfect way to celebrate your romance in this season of strawberries.

Strawberry Mousse

Ingredients to make Strawberry Mousse

  • Strawberries 10 to 15
  • Granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Icing sugar - 1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Whipping cream - 1/2 cup
  • Agar agar/ China grass - 2.5 gm

How to make Strawberry Mousse

  1. Roughly chop strawberries, add 2 tablespoon sugar and grind it into a fine puree.
  2. Preperation of agar agar- powder or China grass: Grind or crush as finely as possible. Heat around 1 cup of water, add agar agar and allow it to boil until it dissolves completely.strain it to remove any undissolved remnants and keep aside.
  3. Mix the strawberry puree into the agar agar mixture.
  4. Pour 2/3 rd puree into the serving glasses, this will form the base for the mousse.
  5. Allow the glasses to chill in the refrigerator for around 10 minutes.
  6. Whip the whipping cream in a chilled bowl and with chilled beaters until soft peaks, keep aside.
  7. Add remaining 1/3rd puree to the whipped cream, fold in gently until it’s uniformly mixed.
  8. Once the base is set, pour the strawberry flavoured whipped cream into the glasses, allow it to set for 2 hours or overnight. Garnish with chopped strawberries before serving.

My Tip:

You can use gelatin in equal amount if agar agar is not available.
