  • rice 2 cup
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • salt 1 tsp
  • water
  • coconut oil / cooking oil 1/4 cup
  • For coconut milk..
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • jaggery 1 cup
  • cardamom seeds 1 tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • water

How to make Odupale With Coconut Milk

  1. WASHED AND SOAKED RICE ADD IN MIXIE JAR.
  2. ADD COCONUT, SALT, WATER AND GRIND SMOOTH PASTE.
  3. POUR THE BATTER INTO VESSEL.
  4. ADD SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF WATER, CONSISTENCY OF BATTER IS WATERY.
  5. MEANWHILE PREPARE COCONUT MILK BY GRINDING COCONUT AND JAGGERY.
  6. ADD CARDAMOM, SALT AND SUFFICIENT WATER, MAKE SMOOTH PASTE
  7. POUR INTO A VESSEL AND ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, COCONUT MILK IS READY.
  8. HEAT THE CLAY TAVA AND SMEAR OIL.
  9. POUR A SPOONFUL OF BATTER OVER THE TAVA AND COVER THE LID, COOK 3-4 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME.
  10. OPEN THE LID AND HOLD THE ONESIDE OF THE TAVA, THEN START TO REMOVE.
  11. BY USING THE SPATULA REMOVE AND SERVE WITH COCONUT MILK.
