An awesome healthy snack idea for tea-time or even brunch. It is a perfect after school snack too. This is my way of doing it.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups semolina or sooji
  2. 14-16 bread slices
  3. 1 cup sour curd
  4. 1 tsp grated ginger or ginger mince
  5. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tsp cumin powder
  8. 1/4 th cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  9. 1 tsp salt
  10. 1 tsp garam masala powder or all spice powder
  11. 1 tbsp kasoori methi
  12. 1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies


  1. Make a semi thick batter with all the ingredients.
  2. Allow it to rest for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. After 20 minutes, spread a thick layer of this mix onto the bread slices evenly on one side.
  4. Shallow fry them on low flame until done.
  5. Serve these yummy goodies with ketchup or green chutney.
