ABOUT Mushroom do pyaaza RECIPE

Mushroom do pyaaza basically means mushrooms cooked with double the quantity of onions. One grated and diced for the taste and crunch. It's a semi dry dish which goes well with Phulkas.add cream before serving and enhance the richness of the dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mushroom 200 gms
  2. 1 small cup peas
  3. Finely chopped or grated onions 2
  4. Diced onions 1 large
  5. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  6. Slit green chilli 1
  7. Tomatoes chopped finely 2 large
  8. Red chilli pwd 1 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric pwd 1/2 tsp
  10. Dhaniya pwd 1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Garam masala pwd 1 tsp
  13. Chopped Coriander

Instructions

  1. Chop mushrooms into 4.pieces
  2. Heat oil in a pan
  3. Add cumin, allow to crackle Add finely chopped onions saute and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, tip in slit green chilli.
  5. Add the tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy and soft
  6. Add the dry ingredients and cook till oil leaves from sides
  7. Add mushrooms, peas, and diced onion.
  8. Add a cup of water, cover and cook till done. Enjoy.
