Ingredients to make Christmas plum cake

  • 120gms plain flour
  • 2tbsp almond powder
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 75gms butter
  • 150ml milkmaid
  • 3/4 cup mixed fruits(raisins, tutti fruity,almonds)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Cup water

How to make Christmas plum cake

  1. take a kadai and sugar
  2. let it caremelize
  3. now heat water in a pan
  4. take all dry fruits
  5. now add boiled water and fruits to caremelize sugar
  6. cook and let it cool
  7. take butter and milkmaid
  8. add butter and whip nicely
  9. take flour in a bowl and add baking powder, baking soda, almond powder and mix
  10. now add dry ingredients and caremelize fruits to milkmaid mix and give a good mix
  11. now ready a tin by greasing it and tranfer the mix in this container and bake at 160•C for 25 mins in a preheated oven
  12. cover the top with foil and bake for 7 mins more
  13. check with toothpick when done cool and decorate with chocolate syrup and silver balls
  14. cake is ready

My Tip:

Always cool the cake on wire rack and instead of sugar syrup you can add orange juice in dry fruits
