ABOUT White Chicken Biryani RECIPE

Biryani is the primary dish in a meal. In biryani, meat and rice are cooked separately before being layered and cooked together.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 kg chicken boneless or with bones
  2. 3/4 kg basmati rice
  3. Few :- Whole spices(cinamon stick, cloves, bay leaves, green cardamon)
  4. 5 to 6 green chillies slitted
  5. 1 cup onion paste
  6. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 cup khoya crumbled
  8. 1 cup yogurt
  9. 1 cup cashewnut paste
  10. 1 1/2 tbsp black pepper pd
  11. 1 tsp garam masala pd
  12. Butter or ghee
  13. Salt
  14. Saffron
  15. 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  16. 1 cup fried onions

Instructions

  1. Boil the rice with some whole spices.
  2. Cook till 3/4 done. Drain and keep asde
  3. Heat ghee, add the whole spices. Saute
  4. Add onion paste. Saute fr 3 to 4 mins
  5. Add ginger garlic paste & some slitted green chillies
  6. Add khoya cook till oil seperates
  7. Add yogurt & cahew paste cook fr few mins
  8. Add black pepper pd mix well
  9. Add the chicken cook on high flame fr 5 to 8 mins
  10. Add little water, salt & garam masala pd
  11. Cook till the chicken is tender.
  12. Add the remaing green chillies & lemon juice
  13. Soak the saffron in warm milk
  14. In a big pot first put a layer of rice. Spread some fried onions
  15. Now spread the chicken gravy on the rice
  16. Again put a layer of rice
  17. Level it properly. Sprinkle the saffron
  18. Spread the fried onions on it
  19. Cover with aluminium foil
  20. Cook fr about 10 to 20 mins on medium flame
