Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3/4 cup tuvar dal washed and drained
  2. 100 gm spinach (palak) washed and drained
  3. 2 inch ginger finely chopped
  4. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1 chopped onion
  7. For Tadka :
  8. 2 tsp oil
  9. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1 tsp jeera
  11. 1 big pinch hing
  12. 1 red chilli (deseeded)
  13. 3 chopped garlic cloves
  14. few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add all the ingredients except the tadka list.
  2. cook till 4 whistle,
  3. remove from heat, churn it well
  4. for tadka :
  5. heat a tadka pan, add oil
  6. add mustard seeds, jeera, hing and garlic cloves,
  7. let the garlic cloves turn light brown in colour
  8. add red chilli and curry leaves
  9. add dal to the tadka, mix well.
  10. add salt to taste.
  11. bring to boil for better taste.
  12. remove from heat
  13. Serve warm
