ABOUT Vanilla Sponge Cooker Cake RECIPE

Soft and spongy vanilla flavored cake with tutti fruities. Melts in mouth and soft like a sponge. Kids loving cake with lots of tutty fruities.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour - 2 cups
  2. Sugar - 1 cup
  3. Malai - 1 cup
  4. Baking Powder - 1 tbsp
  5. Baking Soda 1/2 tbsp
  6. Oil - 1 tbsp
  7. Salt - a Pinch
  8. Coke - 100 ml
  9. Ghee for greasing
  10. Cherries for topping
  11. Tutti fruity mix color - 1 cup
  12. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a big pan add all purpose flour, malai, sugar, salt, oil, baking soda and baking powder and mix it.
  2. Slowly add coke in it and simultaneously keep stirring with one hand so that no lumps form.
  3. Mix it well till it becomes consistent. It will take almost 7-8 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla essence and tutti fruity in it and again mix well.
  5. Now grease an aluminium pan and place the cooker on the stove.
  6. Add 1/2 cup salt in it and place a steel stand in it.
  7. Pour the batter in a greased bowl and place it on the cooker stand.
  8. Keep it on a low flame for 30 minutes and cover with lid without the whistle.
  9. Check it with tester and let it be bake on bit medium flame for 5 minutes more.
  10. Take out with gloves in hand and let it come to room temperature.
  11. Take out the cake in a plate by putting it upside down.
  12. Top it with cherries and tutti fruities.
