ABOUT Tutti Frutti Loaf..... RECIPE

Tutti Frutti cake is a delicious and an easy Indian dessert loved by kids and grown ups alike. It can be relished at tea-time or can be made on any festive occasion or a party at home. It uses simple baking technique suitable for homecooks. A heavenly treat that is simple yet elegant and stands apart in the crowd even today when so many varieties of cakes are baked and enjoyed the world over.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Sugar 3/4th cup
  3. Tutti frutti 3/4th cup
  4. Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  5. Eggs 2
  6. Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
  7. Baking soda 1 tsp
  8. Butter 1/2 cup
  9. Milk 3/4th cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°.
  2. Sieve baking soda, powder and flour twice.
  3. Mix tutti frutti with a little flour and keep aside.
  4. Combine butter and sugar. It looks like breadcrumbs.
  5. Add eggs one by one to the butter sugar mix.
  6. Add vanilla essence and milk. Mix well.
  7. Now add the flour mix to it and mix well until lumpfree.
  8. Fold in the tutti frutti now.
  9. Pour this batter into a parchment paper lined loaf tin.
  10. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  11. Cool a little before slicing.
