ABOUT Plain Dosa RECIPE

Crisp plain dosa/sada dosa from south indian traditional cuisines. Dosas are protein packed breakfast from south indian. A popular dosa that is made of rice fermented rice and lentils batter. Dosas served in many varieties like plain, masala, mysore etc.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 400gm raw rice
  2. 100gm urad dal
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Soak raw rice n urad dal separate for 18hours in between change water for once.
  2. Next in the morning drain water, wash rice n Dal in running water n grind both together into fine paste. Keep aside for 6hrs.
  3. Before making dosa add salt and baking soda in it and mix it. Smooth batter is ready for dosa.
  4. Heat dosa pan n pour 1 serving spoon batter in centre n spread it in round let them cook for 2min on low flame, drop oil n spread it on dosa again cook it for minute when dosa leaves pan. Transfer it to a plate.
  5. Plain dosa is ready to serve, Serve plain dosa hot with Coconut Chutney.
