ABOUT Coconut Chutney RECIPE

Coconut chutney is a South Indian traditional chutney-side-dish and condiment, a common in South Indian states which served with dosa, plain dosa, mendu vada. The condiment is made with coconut pulp ground with other ingredients such as chana dal, green chillies and coriander.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup chopped coconut
  2. 1 cup coriander leaves
  3. 1/3 chana dal
  4. 5green chilies
  5. Salt to taste
  6. For Tempering:-
  7. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  8. 1 sprig curry leaves
  9. 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Grind all the ingredients into fine paste. Transfer it to a bowl.
  2. Heat oil crackle mustard seeds n curry leaves and pour in coconut chutney.
  3. Coconut Chutney is ready to serve.
