ABOUT Ulluthankali RECIPE

This is the traditional breakfast recipe in southern parts if Tamiknadu, made twice a month regularly with black dal, gingelly oil and palm jagerry very regularly. This strengthens the back bone and hip joints.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Black split gram 1 cup
  2. Palm jagerry powder 1 cup
  3. Raw rice 2 tb spoons
  4. Dry ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Gingelly / sesame oil 50 ml

Instructions

  1. In mixer finely powder the black gran and rice together. No need to sieve.
  2. In a pan add the have try and 2 1/2 cup water and boil well
  3. While boiling add 3 teaspoons of gingerly oil.
  4. One the mixture is booked well keep the flame to sim and add the powdered stuff.
  5. Stir well without lumps ,add dry ginger powder and rest of oil.
  6. When the stuff becomes nonstick switch off.
