Paalak i.e spinach is full of iron....its a traditional breakfast loved by both youngs n kids too....

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Spinach(big leaves) 20
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. FOR BESAN BATTER
  4. Besan 1 cup
  5. Salt 1/2 tsp
  6. Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Carrom seeds 1 tsp
  10. Dry mango powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Water - for making batter
  12. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Dip spinach leaves in ice cold water for 15 min...
  2. Prepare besan batter
  3. Take all dry ingredients in a bowl... add water first half cup and then spoon by spoon to make a perfect gel like consistency...not too thick nor too watery ....
  4. Then one by one dip spinach leaves in batter and deep fry in oil..
  5. Serve hot with ketchep or any chutney you like.
