ABOUT A Date(s) with Avocado RECIPE

Buttery Avocado with some nutritious dates will give you this simple yet exotic mouthwatering easy to make dish. An healthy dish to for your loved ones. This recipe is an inspiration from a very dear friend. She had prepared an Avocado smoothie during our girls meetup. I totally fell in love with the flavours of this dish and asked her for the recipe. I tweaked the recipe a bit but the core ingredient remains the same. Thanks Akshatha for sharing this amazing recipe!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Avocado - 2
  2. Dates - 8 to 10
  3. Milk- 2 to 3 cups (adjust as per the consistency required)
  4. Honey- 1 tbsp (optional)
  5. Saffron- 1 tsp
  6. Chocolate wafers
  7. Dried berries- 1 cup
  8. Chopped nuts- I used almonds, walnuts and cashews
  9. Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Blend the avocados, dates, milk, honey, saffron into a smoothie texture or a little thicker if you intend to use it as a dessert.
  2. Take a clear glass and use all your creativity for presentation. You can serve it as a plain smoothie or make it look like an exotic dessert.
  3. Below are two different ways for presenting this dessert. Pick the type which appeals to you the most.
  4. Type 1 Presentation: Sprinkle some crushed choco wafers at the bottom of the glass. Top it with the avocado smoothie and then add some chopped nuts. Now add a scoop or a tablespoon of vanilla ice cream. Hoist a pirouette stick on the side.
  5. Type 2 Presentation: Add some dried berries at the bottom of the glass. Top it with avocado smoothie. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle some nuts on top. Place a tiny raspberry on top.
  6. Serve instantly to enjoy!
