Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan Flour 1.5 Cup
  2. Rice flour 3 Tbsp
  3. 1/4 tbsp Baking soda
  4. Salt 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Onion 1 large
  9. Green chilli 1 small
  10. Coriander leaves 2 Tbsp
  11. 1/2 cup oil for frying

Instructions

  1. First slice the onions.
  2. Then take a large mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients listed from Gram Flour and turmeric powder.
  3. Give a quick mix. Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl.
  4. Mix well. Sprinkle just a little bit of water and mix well to form the batter.
  5. Now heat the pan with oil for deep frying. Check the oil for its hotness by dropping a pinch of the prepared batter in the oil.
  6. If the oil is hot enough, reduce the flame to medium.
  7. Take a hand full of the batter, shape it into a rough ball and drop it gently in the oil.
  8. When the bonda color changes to golden brown, remove it from oil and place in a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with ginger chutney or ketchup.
