ABOUT Sabudana Khichadi RECIPE

A very authentic Maharastrian delicacy,breakfast and also actual fast breaking Dish as it has no onion no garlic.With taste of potatoes and crunchy peanuts one feels wow and heathy too.A curry leaves cummin flavoured savoury with green chillies adding the punch .enjoy doing this always.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 150 grams Sago/Sabudana
  2. 2 tblspon peanuts
  3. 1 medium potato cut fine
  4. 1 to 2 green chillies as per choice
  5. 1 tspn zeera /cummin seeds
  6. Some curry leaves
  7. Some fresh corriander chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2tblspn oil i use Rice oil


  1. Soak sabudana in just enuf water to cover it ,for minimum of 7-8 hours
  2. Keep all ingredients ready
  3. Heat kadai and roast peanuts ,
  4. Remove the peels
  5. Crush peanuts to small pieces,keep aside
  6. Heat oil now inc kadai,splutter cummin , curry leaves and add green chillies
  7. Add potatoes chopped to this and add salt,cover cook 2 minutes on slow
  8. Add crushed peanuts to soaked sabudana
  9. Now add the sabudana to potatoes mix well
  10. Cover cook 2 minutes on slow stirring in between
  11. Remove in a bowl serve hot with garnish of corriander
