ABOUT Gujarati Khichu(Rice Flour) RECIPE

Khichu is a traditional gujarati snack served hot. It is available as a street food in gujarat. It is made in jiffy and tasty too. You can make it with Yellow moong dal flour too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. rice flour- 1 cup
  2. cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  3. Ginger-chilli paste- 1/2 tsp
  4. Soda- A pinch
  5. Salt- As required
  6. Water-4 cups

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil water with cumin seeds and chilli paste. Once it boils switch off the gas.
  2. 2. Add soda and rice flour. Mix so that no lumps should remain. You can use blender too.
  3. The mixture looks like this
  4. 3. Add salt and mix.
  5. 4. Pressure cook for 8-10 whistles.
  6. 5. Remove air and serve hot with oil and Gujarati sambhar.
  7. Final result
