Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Carrots 1.5 kg
  2. Sugar 1.25 cup
  3. Khoya 2 cup
  4. Dry fruits { almond, cashews, pistas, raisins and sliced coconut }
  5. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  6. Ghee 6 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Firstly peel all the carrots.
  2. Now wash them properly and grate them
  3. Now add ghee in a wok and let it melt. After melting the ghee , add grated carrot in it and mix it properly with ghee. Now let it cook on low flame until carrot starts tendering. It will take around 15 - 20 minutes on low flame
  4. When carrots are tendered then add khoya and sugar in it and mix it well. Now let it cook on low flame until khoya starts melting and sugar releases its moisture.
  5. When khoya and sugar starts melting then add dry fruits and cardamom powder in it and mix it well .Now keep stirring and let it cook on low flame until halwa becomes dry and starts seperating from the wok .
  6. Delicious gajar ka halwa is ready to enjoy :blush:
