ABOUT Mung bean dosa( with vegetable salad stuffing) RECIPE

Mung beans are the most nutritious and a traditional ayurvedic diet in india for thousands of years in INDIA. Mung beans are considered useful in defending against several diseases like cancer, heart problems, diabetes and obesity. This must have been the secret food of our ancestors to live long and healthy. Let us also try to include it in our breakfast or lunch for healthy lifestyle. I added vegetable salad as stuffing in my mung bean dosa to make it a healthy breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mung beans- 2 cups
  2. Ginger- 1/2 inch piece
  3. Rock Salt- 1 spoon( as per our taste)
  4. Cumin seeds- 2 spoons
  5. Curd- 1tbsp
  6. Cow ghee- to sprinkle on dosa.
  7. Grated fresh veggies( carrot+ onion+ cucumber+ tomato+ beet root+ salt+ cumin powder+5 drops of lemon juice)- 1 cup for stuffing

Instructions

  1. Soak mung beans in water for 3 hours.
  2. In a blender, add soaked mung beans, rock salt, cumin, ginger , curd and little water and blend into smooth batter.
  3. Heat a non stick pan, and add a laddle of mung bean batter and spread into flat dosa.
  4. Sprinkle cow ghee and toast on both sides and spread veg salad and fold and serve hot as breakfast.
