ABOUT Masala Poha RECIPE

I call it so as ,a twist of birishta pyaz /onion in Poha with pinch of garam masal made it real tasty and different .Also the white powder sprinkled is coconut powder to add to flavours!Great breakfast in Maharashtra Kolahpur side.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 big cup poha flakes
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 1 tomato chopped
  4. 1 green chilli
  5. Few curry leaves
  6. 1/2 tspn red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspn corriander powder
  8. Pinch of garam masala
  9. 1/4 tspn turmeric powder
  10. 1tblspn coconut powder of choice
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1 1/2 tblspn oil
  13. Some corriander to garnish

Instructions

  1. Chop onions
  2. Chop tomato small
  3. Run water over poha ,wet it and keep aside
  4. Heat oil
  5. Add curry leaves and rai
  6. Fry some onion brown and add rest of onion
  7. Now add tomato chopped
  8. Add garam masala ,turmeric and red chilli powder
  9. Add salt now
  10. Add some coconut powder in the masala
  11. Now add softened Poha and mix well
  12. Remove hot to serve ,garnish with corriander and 1tspn of coconut powder
  13. Keep a piece of lemon to squeeze
