Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 6 potatoes [boiled]
  2. 1 cup peas
  3. 1 tsp jeera [cumin seeds]
  4. 1 tsp rai [mustard seeds]
  5. 1 tsp saunf [fennel seeds]
  6. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp amchoor [dry mango] powder
  8. 1tsp chat masala
  9. 2 green chili [chopped ]
  10. Salt
  11. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Coriander leaves [handful]
  13. For the dough:
  14. 2 cup maida
  15. 1 tbsp oil
  16. Salt
  17. Water as needed

  1. For the stuffing, heat a pan with some oil. Then add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fennel seeds followed by the chopped green chillies.
  2. Now add the boiled potatoes and peas, add salt and mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Now add the powdered masalas and cook further, finally add the coriander leaves. Mix together and keep aside to cool.
  4. Mix Maida, salt and oil to knead a dough with required amount of water. Rest this for 10 minutes and divide this into equal sized roundels. Roll each roundel to form a roti and cut it into 2 parts.
  5. Take each of the part, stuff it with the potato mixture, seal the ends to form the samosas. Deep fry them in hot oil and serve with chutney of your choice.
