ABOUT Pav bhaji RECIPE

Pav bhaji is a very popular dish of India, a spicy vegetable curry with some toasted pav bread with loads of butter. A perfect and filling dish.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 potatoes
  2. half cup green peas carrots,
  3. chopped 9,10 beans
  4. 2 onion,
  5. chopped half cabbage
  6. 1 capsicum, finely chopped
  7. 5 tomatoes puree
  8. 1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  9. 1 tsp chilli powder
  10. 1 /2 tbsp pav bhaji masala
  11. 2 tsp butter 1tsp ginger garlic

Instructions

  1. These are the ingredients used.
  2. Chopped onions, capsicum, grated carrots, chopped cabbage & boiled vegetables . Boil the peas and carrots beans,cabbage potatoes till they are soft. Drain out the excess water.
  3. Heat a nonstick pan with some oil, add cumin seeds followed by onions & capsicum.
  4. Now add the powdered masalas, along with ginger garlic paste and the pav bhaji masala. Saute for few minutes.
  5. Now add tomato puree and give it a good mix.
  6. Add the boiled vegetables, give it a good mix and mash them thoroughly using masher, adding cup of water if required. Cook for few more minutes, check for seasoning and serve.
  7. Slice each pav into 2 horizontally. Apply a little butter to each side and sprinkle with a little pav bhaji masala, if desired. serve the hot bhaji on plates and top with Onions and coriander leaves serve immediately...
