Ingredients to make American Pancakes .

  • 1 cup : all purpose flour
  • 1 large : egg
  • 2 tsp : Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp : sugar
  • 1 tsp : salt
  • 1 1/4 cup : Milk
  • 2 tbsp : Melted butter
  • 2 tsp : Vegetable oil

How to make American Pancakes .

  1. Sift the flour ,baking powder and salt.
  2. To a bowl add the egg, melted but cooled butter, sugar, milk and whisk them together.
  3. Stir in the sifted flour mixture and mix without any lumps.
  4. Keep covered and rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Heat a small sauce pan or pancake pan on low heat.
  6. Brush the pan with few drops of vegetable oil.
  7. Pour a ladle full of batter and cook on low heat for couple of minutes.
  8. After a couple of minutes bubbles appear and gets cooked along the edges.
  9. Slowly flip and cook on other side as well but this time without covering.
  10. Once cooked on both sides Remove and serve hot with a drizzle of maple, honey or agave nectar and choice of fresh fruits.
  11. Wholesome breakfast , the perfect start for the busy day.
