ABOUT aloo korma RECIPE

This is a spicy dish using baby potatoes which can be served with some pooris or rotis. A perfect side dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. ginger grated 1 tspon
  2. onion 3 chopped
  3. garlic crushed 1 tspoon
  4. turmeric powder 1/2tspoon
  5. chilli powder 1tspoon
  6. coriander powder 1/2tspoon
  7. garam masala 1/4tspoon
  8. fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
  9. oil 4 tspoon
  10. hing 1 pinch
  11. salt to taste
  12. water as requirex b
  13. coriander powder 1/2 tspoon
  14. Refined oil
  15. Salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the baby potatoes and wash them. Pressure cook them or boil them, keep aside.
  2. Now heat some oil in a pan, add asafoetida followed by chopped onion and saute them for few minutes until they turn golden brown in colour.
  3. Now add the crushed garlic and ginger. Saute for few minutes and then add the powdered masalas. Mix and add salt.
  4. Add little water if the masala tends to burn a bit, then add the boiled potatoes. Mix well, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
