ABOUT Strawberry Trifle RECIPE

Strawberries, the blushing beauties are most of often called food of love.This chilled and creamy dessert with strawberries and custard is perfect treat on any dinner party.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 15 Strawberries, hulled and halved
  2. 2 tbsp Sugar
  3. 2 cups Vanilla/Strawberry Custard
  4. 2 slices of Fruit cake
  5. 1 tbsp Strawberry Jam

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add strawberries and sprinkle sugar. Cover with cling and leave it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  2. In the meantime prepare thick custard and leave to cool. Once the custard has come down to room temperature, leave it in refrigerator to chill.
  3. Cut the fruit cake pieces into four and sandwich them with jam. Set aside.
  4. Layering/Assembling:
  5. Take desired serving bowls/glasses, add sandwiched fruit cake pieces and add 2-3 tbsp. of juices released from strawberry and sugar mixture (check first point).
  6. Now add sugar soaked strawberries and chilled thick custard. Repeat the layers if using a big bowl or glass.
  7. Decorate with halved strawberries and serve immediately.
