ABOUT Chakli RECIPE

This is a perfect snack with evening tea, made with wheat flour. Follow this easy and quick recipe to make this for your loved ones.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup wheat flour
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 11/2 tsp oil+deep frying
  4. 3/4 cup curd
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  7. 1 tsp sesame seeds
  8. 1 tsp ginger chilli paste

Instructions

  1. Transfer whole wheat flour into small container with lid which can easily fit into pressure cooker and close the lid take a 3 litre capacity pressure cooker for 2 cups water in it and place some metal stand place the container .
  2. Close the pressure cooker and steam it for about 15 to 18 minutes over medium flame turn off the flame and let it cool for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Open the pressure cooker lid and remove the container carefully open the lid of container.
  4. Transfer steamed wheat flour to a large wide mouthed bowl.
  5. Break it with the pestle into powder.
  6. Sieve it and discard all small and large lumps.
  7. Add ginger chilli paste,sesame seeds,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,1/2 cup curd ,oil and salt.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Take a chakli maker machine and chakli mould .Grease the inside wall of chakli machine,chakli mould with oil.
  10. Make the chakli, and fry in oil.
