Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Butter- as required
  2. 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  3. 1/4 cup chopped carrots
  4. 1 cup boiled green peas
  5. 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  6. 2 onions finely chopped
  7. 2 small capsicum chopped
  8. 3 tbsp green chilli-ginger-garlic paste
  9. Water as required
  10. 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  11. 3 tbsp pav bhaji masala
  12. 1 tsp garam masala
  13. salt as per taste
  14. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  15. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  16. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  17. 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds and green chillies.
  2. After a minute add the chilli-ginger-garlic paste and carrots.
  3. Saute for a while and then add onions and capsicum.
  4. After sauting for about 2-3 minutes, add turmeric powder, potatoes, tomatoes and peas. Add some water if required.
  5. As the vegetables become tender, add salt, garam masala, pav bhaji masala and red chilli powder. Mix all the ingredients well with a potato masher.
  6. Add lemon juice and mix properly. Serve hot with pav buns.
