Ingredients to make Halwa

  • Watermelon rind white flesh grated 1 cup
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • Condensed milk 1/4 cup
  • Milk powder 1 tbsp
  • Slivered pistachios 4-5
  • Ghee/clarified butter 2 Tbsp

How to make Halwa

  1. TAKE WATERMELON RINDS
  2. GRATE 1 CUP RIND
  3. SQUEEZE OUT EXCESS WATER FROM THE FLESH
  4. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE
  5. ADD THE RIND, SAUTE FOR 5 MINS UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  6. ADD 3/4 MILK, SIMMER
  7. ADD 1/4 CUP CONDENSED MILK, COOK FOR 5 MINS
  8. ADD 1 TBSP MILK POWDER, COOK TILL THICK
  9. GARNISH WITH PISTACHIOS, SERVE HOT
