ABOUT Bedmi poori with Alloo Sabzi RECIPE

This is traditional recipe of bedmi poori with potato curry, which is yummy and very filling.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 cup wheatflour
  2. 1 cup sooji [semolina]
  3. 2 cup urad dal flour
  4. Salt
  5. 1/4 tsp ajwain [carom seeds]
  6. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  7. For the sabzi or curry : 6 boiled potatoes
  8. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  9. A pinch hing
  10. 4 tomatoes
  11. Salt.
  12. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  13. 1/4 th tsp turmeric powder
  14. Coriander leaves [handful]
  15. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Knead a semi soft dough using wheat flour, semolina, dal powder, salt, little oil along with red chilly powder, cumin seeds and water. Let this rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan
  3. Add hing and cumin seeds.
  4. Add fresh tomato puree and mix.
  5. Add salt, red chilly, turmeric powder.
  6. Cook and add boil potatoes [coarsely mashed with hands].
  7. Now add water, bring upto boil and simmer it.
  8. Add coriander leaves
  9. Heat oil in a kadhai.
  10. Make small pooris from the dough and fry them.
  11. Eat with sabzi.
