Jackfruit Kebab

Ingredients to make Jackfruit Kebab

  • 250 grams jack fruit
  • 1 cup channa dal, soaked over night
  • 3 finely chopped onions
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • garlic cloves 6-8
  • A dash of black pepper
  • 2 black cardamoms
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • salt to taste
  • Handful of coriander leaves

How to make Jackfruit Kebab

  1. Put the jackfruit, garlic, black cardamom, cloves, black pepper and channa dal into a pressure cooker and add 1 cup of water. Bring it to a boil, then turn off the flame after 3 whistles.
  2. Remove the ingredients from the cooker strain the water if there is some additional water in it. Mash it well in a grinder.
  3. Add the salt, coriander powder, garam masala, finely chopped onions, grated ginger and coriander leaves into the mixture and mix it properly.
  4. Now make the shape of kebabs as per your requirement. Heat some oil in a pan and place the kebabs on it and remove them once it's done.
  5. Serve these hot kebabs with any desired chutney.
