ABOUT Salted Vermicelli RECIPE

This is one of the most common Indian Breakfast which is easy to cook

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 Cups Roasted Vermicelli
  2. 2 tbsp Clarified Butter + For Pouring
  3. 1 tbsp Carrom seeds
  4. 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  5. 2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  6. 1/3 Cup chopped Onions
  7. 1/4 Cup chopped Tomatoes
  8. 1/3 Cup Frozen Green Peas
  9. 2 medium Sized Potatoes Cut into pieces
  10. 4 Cups Water or as per the requirement
  11. Salt to the taste
  12. Red pepper powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a Pan
  2. Add Clarified Butter into it
  3. Add Carrom seeds
  4. Let them splutter
  5. Add chopped Onions
  6. Sauté them till they become translucent
  7. Add Green Peas
  8. Cook them for a while
  9. Add Turmeric Powder
  10. Add Asafoetida
  11. Add Chopped Tomatoes
  12. Sauté them till they become soft
  13. Now add cut potatoes
  14. Add Water as per the requirement
  15. Add salt to the taste
  16. Add Pepper powder to the taste
  17. Cover it with the lid
  18. Let it cook for 5-10 Minutes in medium to high flame
  19. Check in between if potatoes are cooked
  20. Now Add Roasted Vermicelli into it
  21. Mix them well
  22. Put the gas on low flame
  23. Cook them for another 8-10 minutes
  24. Stir them in between
  25. Check if Vermicelli is cooked properly
  26. Turn off the gas when all the water dried up
  27. Let it rest for 2 minutes
  28. Transfer them into serving plates
  29. Pour a spoonful of Ghee / Clarified Butter on top of it
  30. Vermicelli is ready to serve now
