ABOUT MAKKI KI ROTI RECIPE

This is a traditional Indian flatbread from Punjabi Cuisine. It is made with corn meal and is served as an accompaniment with sarson ka saag (mustard greens).

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Makki ka ata ...... 1 cup
  2. Wheat flour .......... 3-4 tbsp
  3. Oil / ghee ............. 1 tbsp
  4. Ajwain / carom seeds ....... 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt ....... to taste
  6. Warm water .... to knead

Instructions

  1. Mix the 2 flours, salt, oil and ajwain.
  2. Knead the dough using warm water. Set aside.
  3. Roll out the rotis.
  4. Roast them on a griddle.
  5. Smear with ghee.
