Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Avaraikay [beans] 15
  2. Toor/arhar dal 1/2 cup
  3. Red chilly 2
  4. Salt [as required]
  5. Hing [Asafoetida] - a pinch
  6. Oil
  7. Kaduku

Instructions

  1. Chop the beans into tiny pieces.
  2. Add water ,salt, turmeric powder , to the above and cook on a low flame, in a pan.
  3. Once the beans are soft, drain them.
  4. Soak the dal in water for 30 minutes.
  5. Drain water ,add chilly ,hing, salt and grind this into a paste.
  6. Cook the ground dal in a steamer.
  7. Cool it
  8. Now crush them .
  9. Now heat some oil in a pan, add the ground dal, beans, and cook together for few minutes, serve.
