ABOUT Farali Patties RECIPE

This dish was originally made with raw bananas, but has been eventually modified over the years. It is a fun recipe that can be easily made at home.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potato 500 gm
  2. Sabudana 40 gm
  3. Green Chillies according to taste
  4. Coconut grated 60 gm
  5. Pomegranate Seeds 50 gm
  6. Ginger 1 inch long piece
  7. Garam masala 1tsp
  8. Chai masala 1 tsp
  9. Coriander 45 gm
  10. salt to taste
  11. Tamarind Chutney 50 gm
  12. Bread crumbs/bread 50 gm
  13. Rice flour 50 gm
  14. Lemon juice 2 tsp
  15. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salt water. Peel, cool and keep it aside.
  2. Mash the potatoes and combine with half the chopped chillies, half ginger, boiled and drained sabudana, bread crumbs and rice flour. Season with garam masala.
  3. Chop the coriander and combine with pomegranate, grated coconut, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, salt, lemon juice and chai masala.
  4. create dumplings of the potato mixture and stuff with coriander and pomegranate mixture,
  5. Deep fry the dumplings till golden brown on medium flame.
  6. Combine the remaining potato with the tamarind chutney and thin down with a little water.
