ABOUT BREAD UPMA RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bread slices ... 6
  2. Onion ..... 1 (chopped finely)
  3. Tomato ... 1
  4. Ginger ... 1 tsp .. (grated)
  5. Garlic .... 1 tsp
  6. Green chillies ... 1-2 ( as you like it )
  7. Curry leaves .... a sprig
  8. Coriander leaves .. handful
  9. Mustard seeds ..... 1 tsp
  10. Cumin seeds ........ 1 tsp
  11. Asafoetida .......... a pinch
  12. Turmeric powder .. 1/4 tsp
  13. Sambar powder ... 1/2 tsp
  14. Red chilli powder .... 1/4 tsp
  15. Salt ............. to taste
  16. Oil ............. 2-3 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard and cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida.
  2. Now put the chopped onions and ginger garlic and green chillies. Saute a little.
  3. Now add the tomato pieces, coriander and curry leaves and simmer until the tomato cooks.
  4. Add the salt, spice powders and little water.
  5. Put the bread pieces and mix. Simmer to cook.
  6. It just takes a couple of minutes. Serve immediately.
