ABOUT Kanya bhakri RECIPE

Kanya bhakri is a typical traditional dish of goan breakfast menu. Its very simple to prepare and very delicious in taste.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Rice flour-1 cup
  2. Rawa- 1 cup
  3. Besan-2-3 tsp
  4. Onions-2 fat finely chopped
  5. Green chillies-4-5 finely chopped
  6. Coriander leaves-1 cup
  7. Sugar-1-2 tsp
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Butter for serving purpose
  10. Oil as required
  11. Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a utensil mix rice flour, rawa, besan, finely chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and sugar. Add little by little water and make a thick batter.
  2. Heat a tawa, add 2 tsp oil and take a handful of batter in a laddle and spread on it with the help of your hand by sprinkling little water on top if required. Cover and cook. Flip over and cook on other side.
  3. Serve hot with a spoon of butter on top with hot tea
