ABOUT BATHUA PURIS RECIPE

Here is a bathua puri recipe for your breakfast menu. Using the same flour you can make rotis as well.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bathua greens .. 1 cup
  2. Wheat flour .... 2 cups
  3. Garlic .......... 1 tsp (optional)
  4. Green chillies .. 1-2 (crushed)
  5. Ajwain ........... 1/4 tsp
  6. Salt ............. to taste
  7. Ghee .... 2 tsps (add to the flour while kneading)
  8. oil .. as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash the bathua leaves and chop them coarsely.
  2. Heat a little oil in a pan and saute them for a minute. Add garlic, crushed chillies and salt.
  3. Knead the wheat flour with sauteed bathua, ajwain, ghee adding water as needed.
  4. Roll out puris and fry them.
  5. Serve hot. You can just enjoy these puris with masala chai also.
