Sattu ka Paratha is a very unique and lip smacking dish. It is similar to the other stuffed parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour - 2 cups.
  2. Sattu flour - 1 cup.
  3. garlic ( finely chopped) - 7 - 8
  4. ginger ( finely chopped) 1 small piece.
  5. onion finely chopped - no 2.
  6. onion seeds - 2 teaspoon.
  7. mustard oil - 2 tablespoons.
  8. Green chilies chopped - 2 - 3
  9. sugar - 1 teaspoon.
  10. water - 1 cup.
  11. salt to taste.
  12. ghee - 3 tablespoons.
  13. lemon juice - ,3 teaspoon.
  14. Chopped coriander leaves - 4 teaspoons.


  1. Knead the whole wheat flour with salt and water into semi soft dough. Keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl mix the sattu flour, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic, onion seeds, mustard oil, salt, sugar and lemon juice and coriander leaves. Keep it aside.
  3. Now divide the dough into 4 - 5 equal parts.
  4. Take one portion of the dough and roll out small size chapati
  5. Place a tablespoon of the sattu filling in it at the center.
  6. Carefully fold all the sides of the chapati towards the center and seal it properly so that the filling does not come out.
  7. Now dust it with some loose wheat flour and roll out regular size chapati out of it .
  8. Heat a tawa and place the stuffed chapati on it.
  9. Add a teaspoon of ghee to fry the paratha. Fry the paratha on both sides till each side turns golden brown.
  10. Once done, transfer the paratha to a serving plate.
  11. Now its the time to serve Sattu ka Paratha in this winter season .
