ABOUT TOMATO CHUTNEY RECIPE

Here's a quick n spicy tomato chutney recipe, which you can whip up in 15-20 minutes with only 3-4 ingredients to serve with any good South Indian snack

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Tomatoes..... 5
  2. Green/Red Chillies...: 8-10 if less hot, 2-3 more if u need spicier
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Garlic..... 2-3 pods (optional)
  5. Oil .... 4 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan, add split chillies and fry for a minute.
  2. Add sliced tomatoes & garlic pods and mix well. Fry until the entire water content of tomatoes disappears... the quantity almost halves at this stage. Keep stirring in between. The process takes about 15 mins. Add salt.
  3. Remove from fire and let it cool. Grind in a mixer to a fine paste
