ABOUT Rawa kesari RECIPE

This is a sweet dish that is very popular in Southern India, a lovely desert made with semolina, little kesar and ghee.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rava [semolina] - 1/2 cup
  2. Water 1 cup
  3. Sugar 1+1/2 cup
  4. Cashew nuts - 10
  5. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Saffron or orange color [as desired]
  7. Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan with little ghee, roast the rava for few minutes until they smell.
  2. Now add water to the rava and let this cook & simmer.
  3. Now once the mixture is thick enough, add sugar.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Once this is thick enough, add ghee and cashew nuts, saffron, stir well and serve hot.
