Mooli Methi Makki Prantha is a traditional punjabi roti that is very popular during winters.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Makki ka atta/Maize flour 2cup
  2. Whole wheat flour/Atta 1/2 cup
  3. Methi leaves chopped 1 cup
  4. Mooli grated 1 cup
  5. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  6. Ajwain. 1/2 tsp
  7. Grated ginger 1tsp
  8. Corriander powder. 1tsp
  9. Salt. as per taste
  10. Oil for preparing pranthas

Instructions

  1. Mix makki ka atta and whole wheat flour in a big bowl.
  2. Add red chilli powder,ajwain, corriander powder,grated ginger and salt.
  3. Now add chopped methi leaves and grated mooli to the mixture.
  4. Mix everything well.
  5. Start kneading the dough.
  6. The moisture from mooli and methi leaves is enough to bind the dough.
  7. Rest dough for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Now line a butter paper on kitchen counter.
  9. Grease it with few drops of oil.
  10. Take a small ball from the dough and gently press it over the butter paper.
  11. Using your fingers pat the dough into a thin circular shape.
  12. Gently flip the roti from the butter paper.
  13. Place the roti on hot tawa.
  14. Cook for few minutes.
  15. Then drizzle little oil and flip on other side.
  16. Apply little oil and cook until roti turns golden brown in colour.
  17. Serve hot with butter and curd.
