ABOUT Methi Thepla RECIPE

A healthy breakfast dish using flour and fenugreek leaves prepared mainly in Gujarati households.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Flour
  2. 1/2 cup chickpea flour
  3. 2 cups fenugreek leaves (chopped)
  4. 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 TBS CURD
  6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, chickpea flour, fenugreek leaves, ginger garlic paste and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add curd and knead it into a soft dough. Add water if required.
  3. Make small balls and roll out into a thin chapati.
  4. Heat a tawa, add a little ghee and fry on both sides till golden spots appear.
  5. Serve hot with pickle and curd.
