Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Oats
  2. 1/2cup Sooji
  3. 1grated carrot
  4. 1 teaspoon urad oil
  5. 1 teaspoon chana dal
  6. 2table spoon oil
  7. 1 teaspoon masturd
  8. 1teaspoon cumin
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1tablespoon Chopped corriander
  11. 1 cup curd
  12. Water as required
  13. 1 teaspoon Eno
  14. 1 table spoon oil for greasing
  15. 20 cashew
  16. For cutney
  17. 1/2cup coconut chopped
  18. 1/4cup roasted chana
  19. 2 green chilli
  20. 1/2cup curd
  21. For tampering
  22. 1 teaspoon oil
  23. 1/2 teaspoon mastard
  24. 1/4teaspoon cumin
  25. Curry leaves
  26. Red chilli

Instructions

  1. Roast -oats in heavy bottom pan on medium flame.
  2. Set aside for cooling.
  3. Grind coarsely
  4. Heat oil in a pan ,crackle ,cumin ,mastar ,gram dal,urad dal .
  5. Roast little
  6. Add grated carrot,saute it .
  7. Add 1/2cup sooji ,saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Transfer in a plate for cooling
  9. After cooling it ,transfer in a big bowl.
  10. Add 1/2cup curd and coarsely grinded -oats .
  11. Add coriander and salt.
  12. Add some water and make a smooth batter.
  13. Add 1 teaspoon eno , mix well.
  14. Grease idli plates and place a cashew on each idli moulds.
  15. Fill batter in idli moulds..
  16. Place in idli plates in idli cooker.
  17. Steam for 10minutes.
  18. Cool down.and demolds idli.
  19. For chutney .
  20. Grind coconut ,roasted chana,green chilli and salt in a grinder with curd and make a smooth paste .
  21. Heat oil in a pan add cumin ,mastard , curry leaves ,and red dry chilli , crackle them .and tamper chutney .
