Basic Whipped Cream

Ingredients to make Basic Whipped Cream

  • Heavy whipping cream 2 cups
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Icing sugar 1 tbsp

How to make Basic Whipped Cream

  1. FREEZE THE BOWL AND THE WHISKS FOR 30 MINUTES.
  2. THE CREAM SHOULD ALSO BE CHILLED. IT SHOULD BE KEPT REFRIGERATED.
  3. USE AN HAND HELD ELECTRIC BEATER OF ALMOST 300 WATTS OR MORE.
  4. ADD THE CHILLED CREAM ABOUT 2 CUPS
  5. ADD A TEASPOON OF VANILLA ESSENCE AND START BEATING IT.
  6. PLEASE BE NOTED THAT THIS IS THE STARTING TIME.
  7. CONTINUE BEATING ON FULL SPEED
  8. AFTER HALF WAY THROUGH OR ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF BEATING, ADD JUST A TABLESPOON OF ICING SUGAR.
  9. CONTINUE BEATING
  10. FOR 5 MORE MINUTES. IN ALL, IT TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF BEATING.
  11. THIS IS ALL READY NOW.
  12. LOOK HOW GOOD THAT LOOKS. I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND YOU TO MAKE IT A LITTLE AHEAD BEFORE FROSTING.

My Tip:

Beat your cream a little ahead of frosting and do not refrigerate it for a long time. An hour is more than enough. And the room temperature should not be hot. It is better if you work in an air conditioned room. Also the cream should be a heavy cream. Use of sugar must beminimum only. I strongly recommend it. As it is, the cakes and desserts are full of sugar, so skip sugar in your whipped cream. However i have used a tablespoon of it for this recipe but i strongly recommend you to skip it totally. Also chill your piping bags before filling it up and the cakes also should be at room temperature.
