This one is close to my heart. I remember mom making these and packing it for me in lunch, when I was a kid. She always used to give them interesting shapes. I tried giving these cutlets shape too, but duck looked like mouse and stars took the shape of meteor. So, I took the safe path...Heart!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boiled potatoes - 2
  2. Brown bread crumb- 1 slice
  3. mustard sauce- 1/2 tsp
  4. tomato sauce- 1 tsp
  5. Chopped parsley or coriander
  6. Seasoning- black pepper, salt, chilli flakes, dried herbs
  7. Grated ginger - just for the flavour
  8. Boiled peas - 1/4 cup
  9. Grated carrot - 1/4 cup
  10. Sweet corn - 1/4 cup
  11. oil for cutlets


  1. Mix all the vegetables and mash well.
  2. Mix seasonings and sauces.
  3. Add crumbs and make a dough
  4. Make your favourite shapes.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan and roast these cutlets well, using minimum oil.
  6. Plate them and enjoy with a cup of hot chai!
