ABOUT Iron Rich Ragi Noodles RECIPE

These noodles are made from ragi and rice flour. This dish makes for a healthy and power-packed breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup of Ragi flour (finger millet)
  2. 1 cup of Rice flour
  3. 1/4 cup of chopped onion
  4. 1/4 cup of Juliennes carrot
  5. 1/4 cup of Julienne capsicum
  6. 1/4 cup of Chopped French beans
  7. 1 Teaspoon of Pepper powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder
  9. 2 Teaspoon of Home Made Tomato puree
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 2 teaspoon of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Take a Ragi flour and roast for a few minutes. Add the rice flour and mix well.
  2. Boil some water and add salt also.
  3. Add water little by little into the flour mixture.
  4. Do not add excess water. Add enough water to knead into a soft dough.
  5. Add some oil and knead well.
  6. Take a idiyappam tool (I used this plate).
  7. Squeeze the idli plate and steam for 2-3 minutes. Ragi noodles are ready.
  8. Take a pan and add oil and onions. Add capsicum and the other vegetables. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  9. Add salt, chilli powder and pepper powder.
  10. Add a little Home Made Tomato puree.
  11. Add the Noodles and mix gently.
  12. Serve.
