Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  2. Besan - 1 cup
  3. Mung daal flour (powdered form of mung daal) - 1 cup
  4. Oil - 2 Tbsp
  5. Green chillies - 3
  6. Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilly powder - 2 tbsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  9. Dhaniya jeera powder - 1 tsp
  10. Hing - 1/4 tsp
  11. Carrom seeds - 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Water as required
  14. Chopped palak - 1 cup
  15. Hung curd - 1 cup
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix all three kinds of flours, green chillies, ginger paste and oil and rub flour well
  2. Add all other ingredients and mix them with flour well
  3. With the help of water make tight dough out of it. Give 10 mins rest to the dough
  4. Make 9 round balls of it. Flatten them and make thick round roti out of it. Thickness should be around 0.5 inch to 0.7 inch.
  5. Heat tawa. Cook bhakhri on slow flame. In between you can press it with cloth or bhakhri pressre so that it becomes properly crisp.
  6. Serve hot with palak raita to make it more nutritional
  7. For palak raita, mix chopped palak, curd, salt and cumin powder.
