Everyday is Valentine's Day with this delicious and decadent chocolaty ice cream. All you need is 4 ingredients and its ready! Chocolate mousse and chocolate ice cream in one! Smooth and extra creamy. There is melted chocolate mixed right into the ice cream, which gives it that extra smooth mouth feel and deep, rich chocolate flavor. Pour some chocolate syrup on top, and you'll feel like a gluten free rock star!

Chocolate Mousse Ice Cream: No Machine Required!

Ingredients to make Chocolate Mousse Ice Cream: No Machine Required!

  • Heavy whipping cream, chilled 2 cups
  • Bittersweet chocolate, chopped 150g
  • Sweetened condensed milk 1 cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder 3 tbsp

How to make Chocolate Mousse Ice Cream: No Machine Required!

  1. Beat the cream until slightly stiff peaks form.
  2. Place the whipped cream in the refrigerator to chill.
  3. Melt the chopped chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler (in a heat -safe bowl positioned over a pot of simmering water, making sure the water does not touch the bowl), stirring occasionally till smooth.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the melted chocolate with the sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder, and stir until well - combined and smooth.
  5. Allow to cool until no longer warm to touch.
  6. Scrape the whipped cream into the bowl of chocolate and condensed milk, and fold the whipped cream in until very few bright white streaks remain.
  7. Pour into an airtight container, and smooth the top. Place in the freezer until firm ( at least 5 hours).
  8. Allow to sit at room temperature for about 10 - 15 minutes before serving to make scooping easier.
  9. Enjoy the creamy taste!
